Casino Roy-AWESOME! This moviewas good with Bond back to his misogynistic, brutal and marginally psychopathic best! WOOHOO!

First check of the watch - huh? watch? what watch?

This movie got so very much right that it was breathtaking. The very first chase - on foot - was just thundering action all the way. I loved the way the guy with the backpack jumped, bounced, hopped, skipped and jumped his way across up and down everything that came near him. NO GADGETS!

Bond in M's home - also good - NO GADGETS!

It continued that way - with the first good Bond villain for a while - NO GADGETS WHITE PERSIAN CAT!

Good torture scene - no stupid laser going to cut off his nuts and no lengthy exposition by the villain. Did I mention NO GADGETS?

The only slow part for me was the endless on-a-yacht in-love-with-Vesper scenes prior to Venice. If we hadn't got that message after the first six such scenes, we weren't going to get after the next 6 either!

This movie actually felt like the books read and I loved every minute of it. Great to see a franchise get a good reboot for once.

This Bond definately was more brutal and true to the books. I loved it too.

Love the icon! So few people seem to have read the books that I think many people think the "original" Bond was a cool suave English gentleman with flash gadgets rather that the just-marginally civilized thug with the veneer of culture that Fleming wrote about. I loved the books but very few of the movies ever got that aspect of Bond.
