catalyst2Given that BOM sent out another severe weather warning, (note this line:This storm is expected to cause WIDESPREAD DANGEROUS WINDS in excess of 125 kilometres per hour that could cause SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO HOMES OR PROPERTY), we prepared this evening:
both cars filled wth petrol
4 bags of ice (if we lose power and have to put all the freezer stuff into the eskies)
refilled spare gas bottle for the BBQ
so many candles and matches that we could light the sky up
moved all small loose items from outside
pulled up roller door so it doesn't get bent
brought in from the shed four large traps and securing ropes in case the roof goes
and bought several rolls of duct tape (for windows if gets really bad).
In addition the children are going to stay home from school tomorrow.
Let's hope that's all enough.
