Vital *NEW* Dexter info!!!

According to this post from the William S. Paley Festival, Dexter Season 2 starts at the end of September (so booooooooooooo to that poster that was on e-bay that said "Dec 21st") and



Season 2 will NOT be based on Dearly Devoted Dexter at all. I was looking forward to seeing what they did with Dr. Danco but I guess with all the real-life shit that is happening with torture and extraordinary rendition etc, it may have been a bit too close to the bone. Still it means new wacky craziness for Dexter which I am all in favour of!

No, no, no tears because that's good news - was going to be December, now it is September. That's only 5 months away (*gulp*) instead of 8. Good news, not bad!

I was looking forward to seeing what they did with Dr. Danco, too, but I'm really excited about seeing what they do instead! Oh man, it's so far away yet. :(

I hope they go with the season-long arc again and don't dumb it down by making it too episodic. That would be a disaster, I think! Mind you, from the sound of that panel, they seem to have a pretty good idea of what drives Dexter and that would naturally tend towards something that takes a while to unfold.
