Movie Review: The Thing (2011)

catalyst2I liked this movie - faithful to the "original' (the sequel to this one) but with it's own touches.
It has that same spooky, overwhelmed-by-a-truly-lethal-adversary feel and the Thing itself is suitably horrifying and fast. I guess my major question is "Why does a Norwegian Antarctic research base have TWO flamethrowers and an entire case of grenades?" but that aside, it's a good prequel. The inevitable conclusion is delivered well and the final scenes are a great segue into the original.
