Despite yesterday's vow not to play again until my back could settle, somehow I ended up playing TWO games again as The Ringer today so I am really sore now!

It was 'Nids again, #58 against Orks and #59 against Guard.

In #58, despite the Tervigon managing to push out 50+ temagants across 5 turns, this came down to a run move that took me two inches into an uncontested quarter, thus winning by 1 quarter to nil (scoring units only counted, anything could contest) so that was a skin of my teeth win!

In #59, a devastating first round of shooting killed almost all my synapse Warriors so it all hung on a knife edge until turn 3 when all of my genestealers turned up. In that turn, they ate two tanks and three squads. In the next turn, they ate a further four squads after my limited shooting suddenly became deadly, killing his last two tanks and immobilising two chimeras. In turn 5, the genestealers rolled up the rest of his army, leaving only his heavy weapon squad and his 50-man conscript squad (which I was doing my utmost to stay as far away from as possible). It was an annihilation game so I won 15KP - 4.

Results:
#58 - win for me, 1 quarter to nil
#59 - win for me, 15KP to 4

What I learned:
1. Genestealers really are the bees' bollocks, they really are.
2. It doesn't matter how helpless your position is, sometimes the tiniest of margins becomes the greatest of margins!

What I do need to ask is how is that when I play in tournaments as a competitor, I suck and have lost almost every tournament game I have ever played and yet when I play as The Ringer with nothing at stake and with an army I have never played before (and whose style is the complete opposite to my customary army), I win 100% of my games?

My W-L-D record:
40K: 39-14-1
Apocalypse: 3-0-1
Planetstrike: 0-1-0
