EzyDVD finally has Dollhouse listed but no release date.

ARGGGGGGGHHHHHH!

Still, that's an improvement on last week when there was absolutely nothing listed.

This year's nominations feature a number of TV series I like: BSG with 11, Dollhouse with 5 and TSCC with 2. Dr. Horrible's in there too for Best Web Production and Whedonesque is also nominated for Best Web site.

Even Joss commented on the Dollhouse renewal on Whedonesque:

Going ..... going ..... gone?

According to TV Shows on DVD, the R1 release will be on July 28th, and have all 13 episodes, along with the unaired pilot "Echo" and will also have the following extras:
Audio Commentary with the Cast and Crew
Deleted Scenes
Featurettes titled "Making Dollhouse"
"Coming Back Home"
"Finding Echo"
"Designing the Perfect Dollhouse"
"Mind Games"
"An Urban Myth?" and
"A Private Engagement".

Now I just need to hope that the R4 release happens soon after and has vaguely similar extras.

According to Airlock Alpha, Fox is leaning toward renewing Dollhouse, moving it to another night (perhaps?) and canning Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

No sources are quoted which always makes my belief in any article like this waver.

I still say the only reason Joss did Dollhouse at Fox was to fulfill the last (suspended) year of his contract with them.

We shall see!

More good numbers at TV By The Numbers.

It may or may not mean anything in the long run but at least there's some interest.

In what might be a glimmer of hope for the about-to-be much-lamented Dollhouse, the viewer figures for episode 5 ("True Believer") went up, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Now add that to DVR figures (I've forgotten what the proper name is for that - DVR+7? DVR7?) and that could be some good rating, even better if the DVR rating has also gone up by a similar margin too.

Let's just hope.

..... and eyes and toes and any other body part that won't implode when crossed!

Tonight is Dollhouse Night in the US. Please, please, please let this be a success. I want to be able to watch Season 37 of this when I'm 83 and say "Gather around, younglings, and let me tell you about the good old days when ....."

..... for Dollhouse after seeing this video

but then my common sense prevails and I become rational again. Still, I am liking the feel and look of this show more and more.

Another great interview in the LA Times, this time with Olivia Williams. It is again filled with spoilers, at least one major, but I am starting to feel a little bit positive for Dollhouse, not that it'll get a second series because ..... well, FOX, you know ..... but positive in the sense that it sounds like it is as full of twists and turns as I have come to expect from Joss. I was worried that the suits had turned it into "hot chicks with guns" but the way both Williams (and Kranz yesterday) have talked about the hidden depths, unexpected twists and the end of the season, it sounds like there is some real quality in there.

This is the first Dollhouse trailer that I've seen where I thought it actually had a chance of bringing in the general viewing public, not just fans. Let's hope.

I've stayed away from almost all the the previews and reviews because my natural pessimism would just reassert itself in numerous negative comments. Let's just say that this series is doomed, move on and hope that Joss will finally go to a cable channel and make the stuff he really needs to. I'm also hazarding a guess that Dollhouse must finally complete his contractual obligation to Fox and he can now move on?

Anyway, here's the trailer. )

The list is courtesy of Dollverse and so is likely to be pretty accurate, considering it's [livejournal.com profile] gossi and Jackal running the site!
