Dead Like Me had a lot of promise, and it's really funny and all, but there's very little character development and in the end I was kind of disappointed. You know that the creator left in season one due to creative differences. George's dad was originally going to be gay, and the network didn't want that, so he left.
I agree that George is a similar kind of character to Jaye in Wonderfalls. I like that show much better.
