Riverworld R4 release - right here! Holy crap - it came out on 4th August and I only spot it now? Clearly, I'm slipping!

That's the one with Tahmoh. You didn't know about that? I heard it was really bad.

I had heard about the series before but I had no idea that it was already on DVD for this region. Opinions about the quality seemed really varied - like any adaptation of a book (or rather, a series of books) there's always dissonance between people who want a literal adaptation and those that allow for the demands of a different medium. The "literalists" seemed to be particularly disappointed this time!

I heard the writing and the acting was bad, so I didn't watch it. I don't know. Maybe you'll have to see it and report back to me. :)

We've a got brand new JB Hi-Fi store opening down the road from us soon so I hope that will expand the range of videos we can buy. This one will be high on my list to get - even if I end up hitting it with fruits and various meats!
