My space marine sniper scouts are renowned for the damage that they cause game after game so I thought I would do a particularly good paint job on them. Because I always use them with camo cloaks, I really concentrated on getting the cloaks just right - patches made up from two shades of brown, one of dark yellow, one of cream/bone on two shades of green with a wash of green over it all. Probably the best painting I've done - and then I went to base them with my standard materials which is kitty litter with a wash of black and a wash of dark red. Result? The cloaks look really stupid! Damn it!

Now I have to decide whether to rebase my whole army or repaint these stupid-looking cloaks. Damn it (again)!
