catalyst2 ... and industry mavens will be meeting in boardrooms all around the nation, anxiously anticipating fluctuations ...."
As I read this sentence in some dreary book this morning, my mind wandered .....
It is a boardroom, a carpet so lush that last year's work experience kid is still lost in the pile. In the centre is a teak table so large that not one but two 3rd world countries sacrificed their entire rain forest to make it. Around the table, the chairs made from hand-tooled Okapi leather are all filled with anonymous cloned suits, mind numbing in their platitudes. All of them except one that is - for he is the MAVEN. Tall, powerful and not a little intimidating, with a long beak, glossy black feathers covering his broad frame, he strides to the front of the room. Quoth the maven, "Evermore!"
Any way, that's what my mind did - it's a funny thing is the mind.
