BSG for the big screen

catalyst2Empire Online reports that Universal is looking to have Bryan Singer on board as producer and director for another re-imagining of the franchise. I'm not sure how this might do - Singer can make good movies but anything about BSG will just be compared the TV series and probably come up wanting, unless it is utterly stunning.
