Mmmmm .... proper kebabs

catalyst2Went out for lunch today (celebrating a major event - the penultimate day of work for the year) and went over to Mamaris Cafe & Bakery. Tucked away in a quiet little suburban shopping centre, this place is a little gem. I had the chicken kebab on rice with a green salad. Everything was just perfect - lots of tender moist chicken, in a wonderful marinade with a pile of rice and a clean fresh salad that complimented the chicken perfectly.
Probably the best Turkish food I have had in about 15 - 20 years, ever since that place in Christchurch, NZ (whose name I always forget) that I always used to eat at when I lived there.
