"A Game of Thrones" a step closer?

catalyst2According to SyFy Portal, HBO has now moved from optioning to purchase of the rights to A Game of Thrones. George R. R. Martin still urges caution, which I get, but this has to be viewed optimistically, surely? This bears watching over the next year if it gets to casting and so on. My only request - Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, please?
