Wild Dexter speculation

catalyst2This contains speculation about Dexter S2 (completely uninformed, I might add) but does contain spoilers for S109 and enormous spoilers for both books.
Seeing Doakes' little vignette in S109 when he shot the ex-Tonton macoute (sp?) let us know about Doakes' special-ops background but it seemed a little out of place. But (and this is a big but) what if it is a major setup for S2? Remember Dr Danko?
Here is my theory - they got ITK to chop up Tony Tucci so that he looks like Dr. Danko. ITK is going to escape at the end of this season and Dexter will have a hand in that (like the first book). When Dr. Danko appears next season, it will look like ITK is back. It won't really be him - it will be Dr.Danko - but the similarity will throw the investigation out for a while and Dexter will suffer angst for it.
