Wasn't this a fantastic episode? Tony Goldwyn, the actor who played the therapist, directed it. I was very impressed with his technique.

Dexter goes to therapy! I loved that. He made great progress too. And there's something deep inside him that was brought to the surface. It probably doesn't work this way, but I wonder if he were to have more therapy and more hypnosis, and get in touch with what happened to him as a child, if he could change the damage that's been done. But, if he weren't a sociopath, we wouldn't have a show. So I guess not.

I loved the sex in this episode. Both scenes. Deb/Rudy's was achy and powerfully intimate. It really did feel like making love, and I was falling in love with Rudy right along with her.

The Dex/Rita was a huge release of pent up energy. Dexter really let go. I had almost wondered if he didn't enjoy sex at all. Apparently not. It was hot. That's the hottest sex on TV, I'd say.

Ooh, Rudy's the ITK! You can kind of see it coming. But any time I'd start to suspect him, he would go and do something sweet and wonderful and I'd brush it aside. Oh, but he's lovely. I'm really attracted to that actor and his performance. Oh, just wait until episode 9! You're almost caught up to me. :)

Now go read what I wrote in my journal.
