catalyst2... lust seemed to be the theme in this ep - that and control. I refer, of course, to S108 of Dexter.
Yet another great episode and revealing another side to Dexter. Who would have thought Dexter would go the therapy - and then get so much benefit out of it so quickly? The therapist was absolutely on the mark with every analysis he made about Dexter. For just a moment, I thought the therapist could have been ITK - and that was how he "knew" so much about Dexter but then I realised that Dexter came to him via the woman, NOT Perry.

I think I am already keen to help Dexter when he finally decides to "dispose" of Paul. I love when a bad character (sorry, a character who is bad ... ummm ... I'll try that again, a character who portrays a bad person) is written so well that I am repulsed by him. Paul definitely falls into that category.
I loved the whole Ken and Barbie exchange - "We'll share a cold one" - very humorous. "Woohoo!" for Deb - she got her man and how. Rudy was absolutely the epitome of passion here - but that whole thing with her legs was creepy by half (remembering his mother lost her legs - fetish much?) and then BLAM - Rudy is ITK. Holy crap - this does not look good for Deb!
And how well do Rita and Dexter go together? I usually find sex scenes are either boring or ridiculous but this one ( well, the second one, any way!) was waaaaaaaaaaay hot!
And then Dexter's disposal of the therapist - good to see Dexter back to his precise killing mode and not blundering around in public (as per last week)! And then the reveal at the end - just slid straight into that one! Ooh - and I forgot the stalking scene with Harry - how fucking creepy and yet, bizarrely tender was that? Harry must have had 100% trust in Dexter to allow him to do that!
And then BLAM - another reveal - Dexter as a young boy sitting in an enormous pool of blood. If that is done like it is in the book, that will be great reveal and explain a lot about Dexter.
Every time I think this programme has become as good as it can be, it notches it up a level. If this story is correct, it looks like Dexter is starting to get its first nominations for awards too!
