The only places more expensive than us were:
1)Los Angeles, CA
2)Salinas, CA
3)San Francisco, CA
4)Honolulu, HI
5)San Diego, CA

I know...so sad. LA and Berkeley (which is around San Fran) are two places that we're thinking of moving to for Eric's law school. So expensive!!

I was totally shocked to see my area (Houston, TX) in the "affordable" section, comparatively speaking. That was eye-opening.

It's cheaper than here so it might be an improvement for me! The funny thing is, other than house prices which are just ridiculously expensive here just now, I would rate this as a cheap place to live. There again, I bought my house eight years ago and it is now worth about 450% more than it was then!

Such a shame too - Mandurah really is a nice place, as long as you don't want an exciting night life, good restaurants that are affordable or ..... ummm, I think I might just stop there!
