NaNoWriMo Day twenty-one

Only 1017 words today - and that only because of a 4 am start this morning! Total is now 35544. Still about 500 words ahead of target so I'm happy. It would have been nice to have a slightly bigger buffer at this late stage of the writing but the story's still flowing so I'm happy.

It was a rough day for me too. I almost stopped at 500. Wonder what is up with us all having such a hard time?

I certainly got that last year - the bastards sat down (literally, sort of ....) and never got back up again. This year, the three main characters are just running riot and creating mayhem (but it's good mayhem, if you know what I mean). Interestingly, nothing they have done has made the main theme of the story change so they are strangely in sync with the fantasy setting I put them into. I am not telling the story from the POV I thought I would be but I think that has been all to my advantage.
