Every episode I watch of this series sucks me in further. Just when it is in danger of becoming formulaic, it shifts the dynamics about a bit.

The story moves forward - Michael and Fi both deal with sleeping together last week. Michael becomes more distant to Fi and Fi becomes increasingly needy - despite all his noble explanations last week, perhaps that's really why he left originally? Any way, Fi's place was a surprise to me - I expected it to be similar in a lot of ways to Michael's but instead it is cluttered and personal and very lived in. I loved the snow globe collection (and Michael's addition to it at the end to compensate for Fi's "Italian" sacrifice).

I can't say I enjoyed Fi's exploitation of Thomas to test out Michael but, given how need she was shown as, it certainly fitted in with that aspect of her behaviour. I kept expecting Thomas to have a secret - FBI plant or something but he appears to be just as he is, an innocent dupe. At least the story varied it in the sense that they had to prove him innocent rather than just protect him. I did like the ruthlessness of how Michael took down the real jewel thieves by duplicity rather than a very direct confrontation.

Funniest moment - Sam wincing as every sip of scotch slid down Lawrence's throat.

Overall a good episode and the call right at the end promises plenty more action. Oh, and yes, there were the obligatory yoghurt references again!
