John Carter of Mars in 2012?

I can't remember what the original timeline was on this movie but according to Total Sci-Fi Online, it now won't be ready until 2012. It does sound like substantial progress has been made though so let's hope it actually gets to the screen, unlike so many of the earlier attempts.
