The effects of Planetstrike

I realised that my complete lack of scenery needs to be remedied ASAP - it really won't be a game of Planetstrike if I have just one Bastion and one Aegis defence line. I'm thinking that I need to make a whole pile of scenery. Consequently, I have spent the last few hours reading over TerraGenesis. Damn but those guys are talented over there! Because so much of the info over there is done step-by-step too, I should be able to do some of these pieces without too much trouble, klutz that I am not withstanding!
