H O L Y C R A P!!!!!

Just breath-taking. Heather Ledger just *was*. A force of (un)nature. A whirling dervish of insanity. Just stunning. And, I have to say, in the very opposite way, so was Christian Bale. Just imagine if they had gotten him to play Anakin Skywalker (instead of that piece of wood they propped in the corner for two movies) - because Bale can do suppressed rage like no-one else.

Utterly absorbing movie and one stunning memorial to a great actor. RIP Heath Ledger.

Watchmen trailer

The first trailer for the movie is available at Empire Online. Almost everything looks right in that - Dr. Manhattan, the crystal palace on Mars, the Comedian, Nite Owl, just everything. HOLY CRAP!

It even sounds right, what little we heard from the actors.

I'm almost hopeful that this will really be good!
