Watchmen getting closer to being made?

Over at AICN, there are reports that the casting has at least started, even if it is still in the "making an offer to join the cast" stage.

3 offers appear to be out:
Patrick Wilson as Night Owl I - yep, I can see that

Keanu Reeves as Dr. Manhattan - now my first reaction was "EWWWWWWWW!" but then Manhattan is a remote detached unemotional being for most of the story so Reeves might be quite good for that and

Jude Law as Ozymandias (Adrien Veidt) - absolutely spot-on choice in my opinion.

Great casting overall - if it ever comes off. Of course the all-important script rears its ugly head - I still suspect that that's going to suck seven ways sideways 'til Tuesday but we shall see.......
