Holy crap - this guy is just nuts!

Whilst on my usual Sunday night to get takeaways for the family and visitors,


I had to cross at a set of lights. As I am walking across the road, I see that a woman has obviously stalled in the left lane and has just popped the hood to see what the issue is. Just as she gets to the front of the car, the car behind her starts beeping and the guy sticks his head out of the window and yells something (presumably abusive) at her. She gives him the finger and keeps on walking. Remember that this is a dual carriageway so he can move into the right lane any time he wants - in fact there is only one other car than these two (as well as me) around.

Suddenly he reverses really fast and then goes for it - he rams her car, not once but twice and then goes screaming off, still yelling abuse! I think we were all so stunned because I certainly didn't even think to look at his number plate and neither she did as she told me later. I ran over to her to check that she was OK and, other than being extremely upset, she was OK.

She called the police on her mobile and they were there within in ten minutes. I couldn't really tell them much other than very vague descriptions about the car and the guy so I walked back to my car - but not before I heard them tell her that they had just come from a similar incident where the (presumably same) guy had run someone off the road for traveling too slow in the left lane!

Holy crap - what is this guy's issue? once - well, bad enough but twice? WTF?

I was fine, very much the bemused (albeit also shocked) bystander but the woman in the car was extremely upset by it all - with damn good reason, I might add!

I hope when (not if) he has a serious accident, he is the only one injured. Talk about road rage.

Holy god, I actually made a noise of disbelief out loud when I read that bit about him ramming her car. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE. Seriously, I have to wonder if he was on drugs or something. :-/

The sheer level of rage that such a trivial incident produces always stuns me. It's not like she side-swiped him or anything - she just stalled, for goodness sake! If it was also him in the previous incident, you have to wonder how long it will be before he injures or kills someone if that's how he drives all the time!
