BtVS S8 TPB out on November 14th

In Dark Horse's solicitations for September at Comics Continuum, comes news that the first TPB for S8 will include the first 5 issues (the long way home arc (issues 1-4) and issue 5, all of which are written by Joss). Just as amazing is the cover - if this isn't the most stunning cover yet from Jo Chen, then I don't know what is

That is a great cover, but I have an issue with Buffy's apparent breast enlargement. When did she have the time for plastic surgery?

I can't say I noticed that when I first looked but now you mention it, she is a bit pneumatic now - I was just impressed at how all three faces were perfect. Is that the first time Chen's done the enhanced chest size thing? Because I have been impressed at how well the covers have avoided that kind of thing so far.

Mind you, isn't it supposed to be about 12-18 months after Chosen? If she had the surgery soon after that, three months to recover with low impact exercise and then a further three months getting back into full condition would still leave at least six months' gap before the story starts.

I have the problem with the idea of Buffy having a boob job. It just goes against everything she stands for. But yeah, the faces are perfect. The boob thing is something that makes me sigh and then I just ignore it.

Ummm, you know I was joking about the boob job, don't you? Damn sarcasm never quite works on the 'net!

The more I look at it, the more I notice Buffy's boobs now - see what you've done to me! - and I can't see any other plausible explanation (billowing clothes, angle of the shot etc) so may be Chen did just miss the mark a bit this time.

Mind you, the phallic nature of that scythe handle also troubles me somewhat!
