I think the worst thing about his part was that I could see how menacing The Clown could have been but instead he was just plain silly - bad script and bad acting just making it all the worse. And let's face it, no matter how good a protagonist you've got (and Spawn as a character has lots of potential), if your antagonist is a clown, then that clown had better exude menace from every pore if the movie is going to work!
