There's good and bad news ... and then there's the strange news

Bad news - I managed to lock my keys in the car today - but the RAC guy came and opened the car up. It worries me that it takes him all of about 10 seconds (literally) to get into the car - but I'm also grateful. He only took about 35 minutes to respond to the call which is not too bad.

Good news - I went into Empire Toys just to get Angel: Masks, I swear but there was a BtVS S8 #3 sitting there screaming "Take me! Take Me!" - and so I did! I have no idea however how the Runaways Vol. 2 HC ended up in my hands! Cool reading tonight. I couldn't wait to get home to read the BtVS one so I read it as I waited for Mr. RAC to rock up.

Strange news - As I was driving home, I could see some small objects on the freeway. For the next 500m or so, I drove through hundreds if not thousands of foam rubber cubes (about 5 by 5 by 5 cm). It was quite surreal driving through the swirling bouncing mass. It was fairly windy and the speed limit is 100kph in that area so the cubes were being flung off cars at all kinds of angles and trajectories. Very disconcerting!

I have a box at my neighbourhood comic store and I went in Saturday to put up a Serenity Now/Equality Now poster, pick up the latest Jossiness and my two free comics (also a free mini Clone Trooper!). When the guy behind the counter put the comics in front of me, I said, where's my Buffy, X-Men and Runaways?? He hurriedly checked again and found them. :D I also bought my Angel: Masks, which I read tonight. I still have to read the Runaways and latest X-Men. (I'm rereading the first ones.) I also have the five issues of Spike: Asylum to read. Have you read them?

In Buffy #3, did you like what the off-duty slayer was reading while Andrew was on the phone? And did you see Joss's face in the collage of Buffy's dream?

The reading was funny - given that many people are hoping that this series will finish by explaining how all the demons were banished from this dimension by a Slayer (everybody assuming, of course that that means Buffy will be the one).

I did see Joss in the cubes but there are some others in there I struggled to identify - I'll have to have a closer look tonight to see who else is in there.
