Just got the power back on (but I had to post the porn comment first, of course!) - no warning, no flicker, just no power instantly. There followed the usual scrabble to try to find the candles and the matches and torch but we made it. Of course then there was the issue of nothing to do - no TV, no DVD's, no reading (even with candles, still too dark), no internet (because the modem is one of those power thingees).

In the end, we had to - get the horror of this - talk to each other, directly, in RL, no podcast, no chat room, no IM, no nothing. Let me tell you that was an un-nerving experience! No-one even had a multi-media component to their presentations.

I feel ripped off!
