I went a bit nuts today
Oct. 27th, 2006 03:15 pmI dropped into my two favourite stores today - Quality Comics and Empire Toys, conveniently located about 4 shops apart - and kind of got carried away. I was only looking for The Firefly Official Companion, Volume One which I dutifully found but a few other things just "threw themselves" onto the counter screaming "Buy me"! Buy me!"
These others, whose imperious commands I immediately complied with, included Spike vs. Dracula TPB and and an older title Buffy: Ring of Fire TPB by the inimitable Doug Petrie. Unexpectedly, they were also joined by 3 Alan Moore titles: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol.1 TPB, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol.2 TPB and finally Promethea Vol.1 TPB.
I feel guilty and yet curiously satisfied, simultaneously! Reviews will follow as I finish each one. Actually, the reviews for the 3 Alan Moore titles won't really be reviews because I have read them dozens of times before - but they were all library copies. Now I own then! Maybe I should call them re-reviews?
