I went to Supanova yesterday. I have to say that it was a bit disappointing - I go essentially for books and comics but it is now overwhelmingly anime/cosplay/computer games. There's nothing wrong with any of those things, just not my interests.

Having said that, I did buy one thing - The Walking Dead Book 12 HC - from one of the few comic stalls that had a good range. Not going to give any spoilers away but I am stunned that the twelfth volume in a series can still have an ending that takes my breath away. So it was the only thing I bought but it was damn good!

Rather than go all the way up to Perth for the Dystopian Wars Edition 1.1 Master Rulebook, I decided to drop into Asgard Games during my lunch break. Sadly, no book (but they have ordered it for me) but I did get a second Covenant of Antarctica Naval Battle Group!

As an additional bonus I dived into Cosmic Comics (right next door - so convenient!) and they had a hardback copy of The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor so I grabbed that too. Neither were what I went shopping for but both were good buys!

I wish they could do more like this.

Finally got my copy of Walking Dead HC Vol. 07 - I know what I'll be reading for the next few hours.

Every time I read about the machinations behind the scenes at The Walking Dead, I get more worried for the future of this series. This article doesn't raise my hopes at all!

I like the look of Walking Dead Covers HC so I'll definitely be looking for that the next time I'm in Perth. I guess that the Walking Dead HC Vol. 7 should be out fairly soon too.

I can't decide if Darabont's airing of his concerns about TWD's S2 budget is a smart move or not. If true, it could put some pressure on his bosses but how they react to that might not be predictable and if not true, I think this is career suicide .....

There's a good interview with Robert Kirkman at EW.com about progress-to-date on S2. It sounds like they are making some good progress - if we are going to see Hershel's farm, it should mean the prison isn't too far away either.
