Now I *really* love this weather

We put up with 40C+ days which is shit in anybody's book but now we get the payoff - a week of cool nights (17-19C) and warm days (29-31C). Autumn is Western Australia is the equal of any season anywhere in the world, imho!

Mind you, those poor bastards in Port Headland are copping it hard just now. 235km/h winds - holy cow! Keep safe, guys!

More random Jossverse connections

I just happened to catch the opening credits for Stargate Atlantis last night and who should I see but Jewel Staite. It turns this was S2e7 Instinct. No spoilers but Jewel did a very good job - and sure as hell was hard to recognize under all those prosthetics. In fact it wasn't until a close-up where she smiled very broadly that I could recognise her.

I can't say I have ever watched a full episode of Stargate Atlantis but it seemed quite good. The Sheppard/McKay/Weir interaction seemed quite dynamic and fun with lots of potential but I have to say that the big guy with the sword (Ronin?) was written as a bit cliched although his acting was OK.

SPN novels

kradical just announced that he has written the first authorized Supernatural novel called Nevermore. It is up on Amazon already and will be available on 1st August 2007. There is a second novel coming called Witch's Canyon by Jeff Mariotte. Looks like the second one will be out on 1st November 2007, according to Amazon.
