Yet another Jossverse connection

As I watched the last 2 episodes of Dead Like Me S1 last night, who should I see but Jewel Staite as the goth girl that Mason has sex with in the record store! Bit of a change from her usual characters.

"Higher Ground" was where I first came to know Jewel. Not only did it star Hayden Christensen, one of the other 'troubled' teens was played by Kandyse McClure who plays Dualla on BSG! We have a fair amount of talent around this town (all three are residents), not to mention all the others who live here part time for filming. Why do I never see any of them??!

Was Christensen able to act in Higher Ground or did he lose that just for the Star Wars abominations prequels he was in?

He played a sullen, troubled teenager and did it quite well. I think the problem was that he played Annikin basically the same way!
