MCH nominated for Golden Globe

Now the recognition starts - today, the Golden Globes, tomorrow, the Oscars (yes, yes, there's a *slight* fault in the logic there ....). Let's hope this is the first of many!

My only gripe? Where's the other nominations:

Julie Benz for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama?

Jennifer Carpenter for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television?

David Zayas for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television?

Dexter for Best Television Series - Drama?

Michael C. Hall should win though - he's up against some real light weights:
Patrick Dempsey - he should lose because of his stupid nickname
Hugh Laurie - his character is just too nice
Bill Paxton - who?
Kiefer Sutherland - his nomination will obviously have to be withdrawn because they got his first name wrong

*joke* - a bad one admittedly but don't stone me!

Michael deserves to win! Oh boy, I can't wait for 12 more episodes of this show, just to see what Michael does next. Is it Sunday yet?

I really hope he does too but, jokes aside, they are some big guns to be up against. I think he's got the talent and he certainly did his part on Dexter but you never know .....

If he doesn't win this year, maybe next year when Dexter becomes more high profile. Oh, I wonder if Dexter will win a Peabody. They just need to throw awards at these actors, writers and directors; they're top-notch.

I have to confess my ignorance but I had to Google "peabody". And yes, they deserve one of those too! No nominations for any of the writing/producing/directing yet but I am sure those will follow soon once Dexter breaks out!

Peabody is the most prestigious award in TV. The X-Files, The Wire, and Battlestar Galactica have received Peabodys. Dexter's next!

See, that just shows how ignorant I am. Are they televised awards or anything? I've seen Emmmy's and Golden Globe's and some British ones but never Peabody's. I must investigate further (translation Google "Peabody"!)

After you and ESG ohhing and awwwing over this show, I finally caught some of it online. I loved it!! So good. Maybe they'll come out with the DVDs before the second season and I'll Netflix it. So good!

Glad to make another convert! You will need to prepare yourself for this conversation, since almost every Dexter fan seems to confront it sometime:

"So, we're cheering *for* the serial killer are we now? What does that make us?"

I use talk about the weather and stuff and they go away! That or sing "Deck the halls with parts of bodies"! Now *that* gets them running away really fast!
