Nip/Tuck is almost "there" for me

Just watched my first two episodes of Nip/Tuck, S301 Momma Boone and S302 Kiki. I have to say I am impressed but not quite hooked yet. There's enough in there that I am going to keep watching, though. Because I have no idea of backstory, there are things I miss but it is well enough written for me to work out fairly quickly who is who.

I have to say that Matt looks disturbingly like Michael Jackson in S302. Great mother/daughter interaction between Julia and Erica, too. Famke Janssen was on too!

Definitely will continue to watch - and I saw the S1 slimline boxset on Saturday for AUS$32 (that's US$25 approximately) so I may buy that soon if it continues to interest me. At least I could catch up on who the hell The Carver is!

I think this is the season with The Carver mystery. You don't find out who The Carver is until the end. That plotline got a lot of flack from fans, but I really enjoyed it. I even liked the reveal at the end.

This is a good show, sort of soap operay in a surreal, over-the-top kind of way, but also it's a commentary on how far our society will go to be beautiful. I have a difficult time watching the surgeries because they're so realistic. I recommend checking out season one if you get the chance.

They were doing a liposuction om someone's ass in S302 - brutal looking stuff but, having seen someone with all the bruising after liposuction (not on their ass btw!), I thought it was quite realistic.

That and peeling the woman off the couch in S301 - ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

(notice that was 23 w's - the giant spider rated 24 so slightly worse!)
