Beauty and the Beast

Holy crap! How did I not know about this earlier? They are bringing Beauty and the Beast S1 out on DVD! This is the wonderful Ron Perlman / Linda Hamilton series, not any of that awful Disney crap! Of course, this is the R1 release (and none of the usual Aussie sites I go to have a date for the R4 release) but we may get it yet. Just bloody cool!

I loved this when it was on - Ron Perlman as one is society's throwaways and the angst of the outsider looking in made this one of my favourite series of the 80's. Actually, when I think about it, this may well be THE favourite series of the 80's for me.

Ah, if you kept up with the flickr whedonesque group, you'd know this already. :P

Yes, I'm a bad bad man, I know! I spend much more time at .org these days so only drop into flickr occasionally.

Yeah, [livejournal.com profile] catalyst2, haven't seen you on Flickr lately. You're going to miss the Whedonesque wedding of the year if you don't keep up-to-date. ;-)

See above comment re the badness of me! The wedding I did know about and I post over at barest smidgen's blog (http://khindia.wordpress.com/) occasionally too. Actually today's the day she heads off to India isn't it?

She'll be there already. She left Friday morning from home (see the latest comment on her blog from D, as well as her comments on Flickr) so by this time I think she'll actually be at the hospice for her first day. (She was supposed to start on Sunday the 11th.) I did know you posted to her blog, as do I - under my real name, right beneath D's last comment.

As per my suggestion about 20 months ago on Whedonesque, they're looking into a way of sharing the wedding with the Flickr crew. Wouldn't that be great, although I'm not sure how it would work out with the time difference for you.

Live streaming video via webcam would be one way to get the wedding covered - I'd get up anytime to see Damon and Kara's big day!
