First GRRR, then ARRRGH and now WOOHOO!

Part one of Dr. Horrible appeared today but I couldn't watch because I was at work - GRRR - but then I weakened and clicked away, only to find it US-only - ARRRGH - but now the International link is up - WOOHOO! It is streaming even as I speak - because of my crappy home connection speed, it is all very jerky at the moment but it will smooth out soon, I'm sure. WOOHOO!

so glad they got that going - I was pretty damned shocked that it wasn't available internationally to begin with.

Me too but they obviously put in the time to fix it, once we all started commenting. I'm just watching it for the fourth time. I like it!

I had stayed at work till 9 pm (working on Comic-Con stuff ;)) so that I could watch it on my better work computer. I was so disappointed at 9:01 our time not to be able to see it.

When I got home, I finally succumbed and put on the HotSpot Shield download just long enough to watch it through twice (even though it was jerky on that computer) and then took off the program. At lunchtime today, I'll watch it at work.

I really, really liked it. Much as I love Nathan, he did so well as the pompous, self-aggrandising hero that my heart was really with Dr. Horrible. Loved the cowboy song, too. :D

I love the one minute pause between finishing work and your first try at watching it! A true fan! ;-)

I surprised that you had to put on the HotSpot Shield - I thought that was only to try to trick hulu into thinking you had a US ISP?

Any way, I'm glad you liked it. I'm much the same as you - I'm already a fan of Dr. Horrible because Captain Hammer is such a pompous ass! I loved the laundromat scene "I love the ... umm ... air". I'm really looking forward to Part 2 tomorrow.

That's why I had to put on HotSpot sheild 'cause I'm in Canada and Hulu didn't like me. :(

Hopefully it will all be fine tonight at 9:01 my time! ;)

I thought you lived in the US? Or are you visiting?

[identity profile] tijnat.livejournal.com 2008-07-17 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, born and raised in British Columbia, Canada - third generation Canadian, as a matter of fact - on both sides. I will be visiting the US (San Diego) next week for Comic-Con, though.

Whoops, sorry, I don't know why I assumed that. Considering you organised the Vancouver CSTS screening, that should have been a clue for me! D'oh!
