Too subtle?

Me: If you just want to turn this into an endless pissing match, we'll all be standing in six feet of urine in a month's time - and I'm only 5 feet 4.

*crickets*

Chairperson: Uhhhhhh ..... next agenda item? Anyone? Anyone?

And why I try to spend as little as possible in them - but junior sports clubs are always desperate for board members so I "volunteered".

Evreybody's taller than me! The meeting was all jittery afterwards too - I'm not sure people knew just how to proceed after that!

If it's any consolation my best friend is just 4'8".

Well... that's rather understandable. Especially if they're not really used to things like that.

Sometimes as the words come out of my mouth, my head is yelling at me "Be nice! Be nice!" but it's too late then. I'm really not a good advert for the the phrase "Before opening mouth, engage brain" but at least people know that what I say is what I really believe about the subject, even if I offend unnecessarily, sometimes.

The sad thing is that I think I'm getting worse as I get older. I think I really am going to be one of those grumpy old bastards in my dotage!
