Why do I agree to these things?

Every so often I get a call from a local research organisation to go watch some TV - and get paid for doing so. All I have to do is fill out some questionnaires about what I thought of the programme. I've been doing it for about for years and I realised something - every programme I have ever watched with them has been utter crap and not one of them has ever made it onto TV here. Most have been from the US, some from the UK and one was from Singapore (I think?). I don't know where they drag them up from - they are some of the most appalling stuff I have ever seen. Still, I get paid so what the hell?

How much do they pay you? I'd love a job like that!

Usually $25 per hour plus all the Coke (or Diet Coke/Fanta etc) you can drink. Sometimes I just watch adverts and then it's $35 per hour - but I don't do those too often because it drives me batty watching advert after advert!

And your helping keep crap off the tellie!! Fight for justice, man! Yay! I hear ya, ESG...I would love this job. Maybe one day you'll see the next Veronica Mars or Dexter and be all "wait...this is good!".

Every time I go - especially now when local networks are gearing up for next year's main season (February/March is when most new series start here) - I hope I will see something good. Still batting 0 and (about) 50! One day though ....
