The Inside 7

Declawed was yet another episode in this wonderful series that just keeps on twisting and turning.

Only seven episodes in and Web is so unfathomable that I can't decide whether he really is cruising for a hooker, he really is a sad lonely old man who is willing to pay for conversation, he has some strange kind of hair colour fetish, he really is the serial killer or whether he was trying to get the hooker to look like Rebecca. Of course, it is none of these at all but Web is just creepy in his very understated but definite air of menace.

I love that the person who defended Web the most was Paul - the very same Paul who was just about ready to kill Web last week. Glenn Terry was just wonderfully manipulative and vindictive throughout until I hated him more than Web, which isn't be easy! I liked Terry's comment that how the team operated would be an indicator of how well Web ran the team - well, the team were independent, decisive and worked together well so I guess Web, for all his deviousness, does run a good team!

The villain was suitably creepy and the final scenes in the car before the team arrive were fairly gut-wrenching.

All in all, another great episode and every character (bar Mel) got to shine in this. The actor who was the villain was perfect - that lurching run was exactly how a person of that age might have moved - so very well done.

I wish we had the Inside on DVD. I saw the 6 episodes they aired, and thought it was awesome. Poor Tim Minear.

Yeah, I have to think that if this couldn't stay on TV for more that 6 episoeds, then nothing that Tim Minera writes will!
