I was really surprised by this movie - there was far less Cabin and far more of the "other stuff" than I expected. Still, funny, thrilling and Fran Kranz went up yet another notch in my estimation.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I went to see it in the theater, even though I NEVER go see scary movies (I'm a terrible coward, and easily disgusted) because I trusted Joss & Drew to have something interesting/funny/new to say on the subject. And then I had to see it a second time because there was so much happening at once that I felt I could barely grasp it all. It actually reminded me a little of 'Galaxy Quest' (a movie that satirized Star Trek & Trekkies, while being an homage at the same time).
Fran Kranz was amazing, I'm kind of surprised that he isn't a bigger star, because he always seems to be amazing.
I'm not really one for seeing scary movies (unless my family drag me to them .....) because I find they are usually so predictable and repetitive - but CiTW plays on exactly that and twists it about. That was interesting!
