The Hollywood Reporter reports that Brian White has joined the cast of the movie, playing a character named Truman. Sadly, this is yet another face in the cast that I don't recognise!

Sadly? I like when Joss casts unknowns. He really knows how to pick them. But they aren't all unknowns. You know who Bradley Whitford is right? And Richard Jenkins? Well, and then there's Fran Kranz, who's an unknown but we all know and love him on Dollhouse! Well, know him and love him and are creeped out by him...

I also like Joss' ability to pick relative unknowns and get amazing acting out of them - it was "sadly" in the sense of my sad lack of knowledge of any actors' names. The only names I knew were Kranz (but only from Dollhouse, as you say) and Anna Hutchinson from a series on TV in Australia right now called Underbelly.

Bradley Whitford was Josh Lyman in The West Wing (and a major heartthrob), and he was also in Studio 60. You might also remember his role as Elisabeth Shue's scumbag boyfriend in Adventures in Babysitting.

Richard Jenkins played Nathanial Fisher Sr in Six Feet Under and recently starred in the movie The Visitor, which garnered much critical acclaim.

I did recognise Whitford's name, I promise - but then I will also admit that I had no idea where from!

I never really watched SFU so Jenkins was not at all familiar.
