Fantastic 4 reboot already

According to IESB, there are already plans to start again with this franchise to try to get better fan support despite the last two F4 movies doing well financially. It will probably be totally recast too - a mixed blessing in my book because Michael Chiklis was great but at the same time we get rid of Julian McMahon and Jessica Alba (thank goodness)!

They need a good writer too. I agree that Chiklis totally is The Thing.

When I first saw that casting for The Thing I was really doubtful, having only seen Chiklis in The Shield but it did really work. Julian McMahon, even though I like him in other things, just was not the person for Dr. Doom. I haven't minded the writing too much but it is a little bit linear without much angst - as with everything else, it could with a touch of Joss! Actually, on second thoughts, Stephen De Knight would be great for it too - Apocalypse Nowish anyone?
