NaNoWriMo 08 Day two

Yesterday's notes came in hand quite wonderfully today. Spent a very pleasant few hours sitting outside under the pergola tying away on the laptop. I managed 2117 words, well ahead of the daily target (YAY!) but still about 900 short (BOO!) of the cumulative total due to yesterday's slow start. Mind you, I only used about half of the notes so hopefully tomorrow's total will be a good one too.

Science fiction - the world is invaded by "demons" - but all is not as it seems! I started the same story last year but it sucked so much that, apart from the three lead characters and the setting, everything is written from scratch.

But just think of all the writing material you could get from a trip to Vegas - the crazy lady who sat on the bus next to you and argued with her purple hat for two hours non-stop, the service station attendant who liked to talk abut his collection of dried ducks' feet - need I go on? :-)
