Just frakking gorgeous!

I need to get AtS: ATF Vol. 1 HC - it just too damned pretty to miss out on.

As much as I love the current BtVS S8 comics, the first TPB sucked with bells on - not a single special feature, not even a "Welcome!" from Joss. This, on the other hand, is how a great story should be presented. The issue for me now is whether I buy this, the TPB or both - the completeist in me obsesses over missing anything in the series.

I think they are worth reading - be prepared for a very alternate storyline because Brian Lynch isn't afraid to try new directions. He writes Spike's voice very well and Angel's reasonably well. He introduces a fair number of original characters, all of which I like but I know that that's not a universal opinion by any stretch of the imagination.

I have all the individual comics, but I think I'm going to have to buy that just for it's shininess! It is truly beautiful!
