Overall, I do like it though - I've got a bit bored of the formulaic "everything bundled nicely and explained in 43 minutes" model and this was so different.
Have you started watching Ashes to Ashes, the follow-up series to LoM? Similar idea but yet different. The lead is not nearly so captivating as Sam Tyler but is still good. I've only seen the first two episodes but will watch the rest soon.
Oh, I loved it to pieces. Definitely a bit of a mindbender, which is good after all the formulaic stuff.
I actually just finished watching the first season of Ashes To Ashes. Good, but you're right, the lead is no Sam Tyler. I do think it gets better as the season progresses, and I heard it was picked up for a second season so it'll be interesting to see where they go with it.
Ashes to Ashes definitely got an S2 pickup so at least we'll see a little more of them. I'm glad it improves as it goes along because the first 2 episodes are a little slow.
