Angel: After the Fall information

Silver Bullet Comic books has some interesting info on the series

I liked these quotes:

"Angel and his friends took a stand because he thought it was the right thing to do," says Lynch. "They fought the good fight, even though they were probably going to lose, even though they were facing insurmountable odds. But that's the thing about insurmountable odds: surmounting them can be quite a bitch. The series begins to tackle the fallout of Angel's stand, and what it cost everyone near, around and close to him."

Not that I had any doubt, given Joss' involvement, but I am really glad that it is going to focus on those consequences.

"This is the story we've wanted to tell since we first started publishing Angel comics three years ago," said Chris Ryall, IDW's Publisher and Editor-in-Chief. "More to the point, it's a story fans have been dying to see, and neither they nor I ever wanted to tell this tale without Joss. So it's great to have his participation, as well as the great work by Brian and Franco, to proper deliver this epic saga."

I'm glad that IDW stuck with the Angel titles - some of those early ones were fairly ordinary (The Curse and Old Friends spring to mind for me) although the Spike titles were uniformly better - I liked all 3 of the initial one-shots and both Asylum and Shadow Puppets have been good too).

Along the way, IDW will also release some one-shot stories that tie in to the larger storyline. The first of these will be the April 2008 release Angel: First Night, which details the events at the end of Season Five's final day as they affected some lesser-seen characters from the show.

Now I like the sound of that one-shot because I've always liked to see how those "minor" characters go. I've always imagined that Clem drove to LA after he evacuated from Sunnydale - I'd be amused to see if he walked into another apocalypse when W&H unleashed it on LA. I was kind of hoping to see Clem in BtVS S8 (jokingly, I suggested that he could have been the S8 Big Bad) but it would be every bit as cool to see him here. I'd also like to see what Anne Steele is doing - she seems to be able to survive almost anything!

You know, I always wondered what happened to Groo after he left Cordy at the end of S3, wonder if he was still hanging out in LA.

I always assumed he went back to Pylea but he would need a portal for that so may be he did stay in LA. Fitness instructor maybe?

I would love to see Clem in the middle of the LA apocalypse!

I could just see him returning to his kitten poker days!
