BtVS S8 Issue 6 - 6 Preview Pages up

Unlike last time, these are all official and complete so a definite step up. I really like the story but the art work is a bit variable - Jeanty gets Faith at times - at others not, very very not, in fact. They are up at Dark Horse, btw.

"Paft" still creeps me out!

*cringes* Oh wow. Did Robin know they'd already been turned? Cause it's gotta be hard to kill children, even if they're vamps. She kinda reminds me of huntress in these pages, minus the earings.

I never even thought of whether Robin knew or not. When he said on Page 4 "I swear, I never would have bothered you if I thought any of these girls could take care of them ..." I assumed he was sending her to take care of them because, with Faith's own traumatic and turbulent childhood, she would be best able to relate to and help those kids survive. That he meant take care (in the "paft" sense) never even occurred to me - he rang Faith because he knew she could kill them without hesitation? Hmmmm

Even if Robin knew, I am not sure that Faith did - her initial approach to the first child seems quite open and solicitous, rather than cautious and suspicious. Maybe this will be a source of conflict between them in this arc. I have long suspected that the subtitle to the arc - No Future for You -refers to Faith's desire to get out of the business - the blurbs for the issues certainly suggest this - and perhaps this is the straw that breaks the camel's back?
