Burn Notice 5 - Family Business
Another great episode and yet a different feel again. Michael was even more charming and slick than in previous episodes, if that was even possible.
Seeing Michael deal with Ari was very funny - Michael was able to manipulate him so easily and then when the Ari's girlfriend came onto him, Michael still got out of it by flattering the guy! I loved that scene on the steps as they confront each other.
The other thing this episode showed was Michael's ability to think on his feet - I lost count of how many times the plan changed but every time, Michael picked another alternative to match the demands of the situation. I also liked the way the Zamars got away - no arrest, no Michael saves the day, just getting Jake and family safe enough was the goal. I did think that Michael's line that "If they ever find out (that Jake's a fake), they'll come back" might be a bit of foreshadowing for the Zamars' return later in the series. I do like the way that Matt Nix writes for Michael too - it is funny but there's always a dangerous undertone under all the banter that Nix keeps simmering.
