I just saw the official trailer for Cloverfield and it looks very interesting. I can see how some of the earlier speculation centered around a Godzilla-type thing but it appears that this may be more Cthulhu-related. So, just to cover my bets show my devotion, Ethan Haas was not an ass - he really was right!

If it is correct, the Cthulhu link will be interesting to explore - and let's not forget that it is DREW FRAKKING GODDARD writing it too. You can see why he doesn't use his middle name too often!
