Just finished my Firefly marathon

I watched the entire series today, from Serenity to Out of Gas (you know, in the proper order you FOX asshats!) and it is just breath-taking. I've watched it so many times and every time I watch I notice something new.

This time, it was in Shindig and it was a line I had never noticed before from Badger:
"Of course, you couldn't buy an invite with a diamond the size of a testicle, but I got my hands on a couple ....." Mal's eyebrow twitch and Jayne's snigger are just priceless as is Badger's hurried "..... of invites" Such a funny moment.

Of course, I was being the ultra-geek today and following the episodes (up to and including Our Mrs Reynolds at any rate) from the Firefly: The Official Companion: Volume One!

I love my holiday (and My Captain)!

I'm currently whipping through S 1-5 of "The West Wing", a show I've always enjoyed, then will probably go through the two seasons of "Sports Night", also an Aaron Sorkin/Thomas Schlamme effort, but then I think I'll watch "Firefly" again. It seems like a long time since I've seen any of the episodes and it might be good to do so again before the charity screening.

I've always enjoyed that line of Badger's.

When I re-watched Firefly this time, I was aware of how many phrases in there have become almost everyday phrases for me - "Big damn heroes", "We did the impossible and that makes us mighty" and so on. What a wonderful show it was!
